Social Content Creator (Audio / Video; Contract)

At IDEO, we use design to create new products, services, experiences, tangible strategies, and creative capabilities.

IDEO is in search of a Social Content Creator who will partner with the Head of Brand, Content Lead, and Demand Generation Director to help translate our studio events & experiences into compelling image & video assets. This role will work directly with our marketing team and Head of Brand.

We are actively seeking talent located in Cambridge, MA, Chicago, IL, and San Francisco, CA to shoot & lightly edit content onsite.

In a Nutshell:

The Social Content Creator produces engaging multimedia content that aligns with our brand guidelines, maintaining an educational and compelling presence across platforms.

We are especially excited to meet candidates with a strong film, photography, podcasting, creative agency or social media content creation background. Contractors will be expected to provide their own audio/video equipment for any active assignments.

Applicants must be based within 2 hours of ground transportation to one of our North America Studios. 

Qualifications / Experience:

- Well versed in film & photography image composition, video editing, audio recording, and audio editing to create compelling narratives.

- Document special events for IDEO's owned media and social media presence.

- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure media outputs align with the brief’s strategic goals and creative vision.

- Support the asset production process from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring high-quality and impactful footage & sound.

- Optimize and edit footage & sound for a variety of vertical and horizontal formats & platforms (Tiktok, Instagram, Youtube Shorts, Linkedin etc)

- Execute with rapid turnaround times for real-time moments, capture trending moments, editing quickly and efficiently to deliver high-quality work, on-time and with accuracy.

- Bring and use your own camera, audio and editing equipment.

Compensation

IDEO is committed to paying its contractors equitably, regardless of gender identity or race/ethnicity/cultural identity.

This work is to be performed on a contract basis. The annualized compensation rate for this position is $60,000 - $100,000 USD.

This amount is influenced by a wide range of factors considered in compensation decisions at IDEO. This includes, but is not limited to: skills, industry knowledge, and experience. Final offers may vary based on geography, candidate experience & expertise, and other factors.
